The Courage to Persevere Project is committed to breaking down mental health stigma, changing the narrative around mental illness, and making meaningful change in the lives of those living with mental health conditions. We act upon this mission by:
-
Creating awards at institutions of higher learning, specifically geared to students persevering to complete their education, and
-
Honouring students by awarding funds with no-strings attached (i.e. they can use the funds for anything they deem most beneficial).
It is evident that students carry a burden with regard to their mental health. But no student is alone. They exist in larger communities of friends, colleagues, supervisors, teachers, institutions, and cultures. It is all of our responsibility to use our voices, and make a difference.
The Courage to Persevere Project exists to advocate for change, to empower those who have been disempowered, and to take purposeful action wherever possible. We want to celebrate mental health warriors for the courage they exhibit! Thank you for joining us here.
